Meet the committee …

I first joined the club in the late 80's as part of a life long interest in photography. I was a monochrome printer for many years but since Photoshop replaced the developing dish I now work in digital and continue to produce travel and studio-based images. My primary output is projected images and web work but I also produce prints for exhibitions and give presentations on various aspects of photography.

I was born in Great Yarmouth and have lived in the area all my life . I enjoy being part of the club and having photography as a hobby, I also love baking, making greeting cards and a bit of crafting.
I have always loved taking photos, in early 2015 I bought my first DSLR and couldn't get a picture out of it, went on a starter course on photography and actually took a picture! Soon after I joined Caister photography club and have not looked back. I like to have a go at any type of photography and occasionally get a photo that I am proud of.

I am a very enthusiastic photographer. My Journey started after having a very nasty horse riding accident around 20 years ago. I took up photography as my partner said it would be less dangerous. I beg to differ as there are times when getting the photo is key and you seem to forget about the danger. I have been through many different cameras and lenses and I am currently using a Fuji XT3 & Formatt Hi-Tec Filters. . I have been out on many day workshops with a friends and quite a few Photographic holidays. Wales, Scotland And Devon. I enjoy most Genre’s in photography and will try my hand at anything. I am passionate about flower Photography and have bought a couple of Lensbaby lenses which make great images. I Love to see my images in print and like to use different papers. I like both Mono & Colour images. My Camera goes with me on nearly all my holidays and days out. I decided to enter into the many qualifications that are available to photographers and achieved my LRPS in February 2024 with the Royal Photographic Society. I joined the Club approximatly 20 years ago and have made a few friends along the way. There is always great inspiration from many so always more to achieve.
